The counter tops are Jerusalem Stone with a patina finish and ogee edge. The counter top on the island was custom made by Premier in teak, a more water resistant wood than maple butcher block. The appliance garage to the right of the refrigerator has retractable doors and houses the microwave. Tiles on the back splash were supplied by Davida Rodriguez at Architectural Ceramics in Rockville.
